St. Patrick's Day is certainly a fun one, but we were going for multiple rewards from some carefully chosen creative projects that would honor the holiday, without going over the top on the excitement factor. Rainbows created from colored cereal was a great fine motor activity, as well as a test of the self regulation strengths of our kids. (One student ate one piece of cereal - that's it - amazing!) We also made hand kites by slipping ribbons the colors of the rainbow onto plastic rings, then taking them outside and running, running, running with them.
